Sad or not, people do indeed judge a book by its cover. Therefore, a book cover design had better express the soul of that book as accurately, authentically and effectively as possible.

—As Head of Production & Design for Heliographica Press, an ill-fated subsidy press I helped start, I handled all of the design and production of the titles we published. These are some of the cover designs I developed, including the cover to my own novel, OXYGEN WARS, which I adapted from one of my screenplays, co-written with Daniel Merritt.
